We, Brandy and Mary, became fast friends at work, discovering that we each had similar loves of all things crafty and vintage/retro. Mary, a talented knitter, and Brandy, a talented crocheter, began working on projects during lunch at work and on the weekends. These projects sparked the passion to create Rewind Knits & Crochet.
All of our projects are inspired by our love of vintage – fine tuned and redesigned to have modern style. Modern style is interpreted in both garment / accessory construction AND the use of trend forward color palettes.
Coincidentally, what we do at work lends itself to our passion to providing color trends, innovative designs, and cohesive collections of patterns. Have you ever been to a Starbucks, Target, Walmart, Toys ‘R’ Us or Costco? (Who hasn’t, right?) Then you have probably seen some of our product design work. Only the cool stuff I can assure you! :) We work 12 -18 months ahead of what is on shelf at retail, so hopefully our color palettes and designs will reflect this look ahead into the design future.
Enjoy,
Brandy and Mary
p.s. If you would like to contact us via email, we would love to hear from you! mary@rewindknits.com should do the trick.

Thanks so much for including our yarn! What a nice surprise.
Lisa
Hi, nice to meet you !
very cool blog! glad to know you
OMG Will you be my friends? I live on Wake Island which is so far away that I am already in the next day. I live with a couple of hundred other people and they are almost all men.
Ergo, I have no yarn companions. Its just me with my small stash and no HGTV. Now I see I can look at your website for inspiration and cool ideas.
Brandy do you know of any websites where I can find diagram crochet patterns for doilies? I used to subscribe to Decorative Crochet but that years ago and my back issues are all back home on the mainland.
Sorry for the ramble. Keep on rockin’ the yarn crafts!
Your biggest fan,
Melissa on Wake Island
Melissa – Welcome!
We love your enthusiasm. And you are hilarious.
First of all, where do we sign up to be on an island with mostly men? Do tell.
As far as doilies go, we would suggest three places to start:
http://www.ravelry.com
http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com
http://www.dailycrocheter.com
Pretty sure you can find all sorts of fun stuff on there.
We will have a new post shortly with a fun drawing! So make sure to enter!
Cheers -
M & B
Super Duper. Will check out those sites. Much obliged.
I entered the drawing. I’ve never won a drawing, but what the heck!
I know. “Island full of men” has a certain ring to it. Unfortunately, I believe a more apt description would be “Island of Misfit Boys.” I’m already hitched to a wonderful man and living here is like living with all the totally-obnoxious-but-ya-gotta-love-em-anyways brothers that I never had.
Toodles!
M
I love your Center Row Lace Headband/Neckwarmer pattern. However, I am not a proficient knitter. Do you have something similar to this pattern that is crocheted or perhaps a link to someone you know? Thanks in advance for your response. Have a great day!
Hi Carol – Brandy is working on a crochet version as we speak! Should be done in a few weeks, between work and all the other things that get in the way of our craftiness. If you subscribe to the blog, or check back around Thanksgiving, it should be available. Thanks – Mary
Hello Carol – The pattern has now been added for your crafting pleasure!
Terrific! I will be sure to check later. Thanks again.
Is there any way I can get a crochet pattern for the convertable center row lace headband / neckwarmer? I can’t find anyone that will knit it for me.
we are working on one! check back in two weeks. thanks!
Hey there! Pattern is all up on the site and ready for holiday crafting. Thanks for hanging in there while we finished it up.
I just stumbled upon this site and love it! thank you!
Yea! Glad you found us!
Do you sell your items? I love the headbands!
Hi Jennifer –
We don’t sell our items, but take the free pattern to your local crafts or yarn store and I bet they know someone who knits for other people. Cheers!
Mary and Brandy

Dorothy
