Hello there! Mary and I hope everyone had a great holiday and an even better New Year’s Eve. (I know we did… a little too good, my head still hurts!) The dust has settled and we are back to crafting!! We’ve been reading several blogs as of late and many of our favorite bloggers have been posting their “Life List Goals for 2011″. Inspired, we’ve decided to toss our knitted hat into the ring! Here’s our joint “Craft Life List, and in true Brandy and Mary style, written on sticky notes:

List Rules:
• Each craft may only qualify for only one of the “to-dos”.
• Past crafts do not count (Mary).
While Mary and I were reminiscing about last years crafty shenanigans, coming up with our list, we decided that we are going to expand into posting about sewing. CALM DOWN! It’s just going to be a post here and there since we both enjoy sewing; but are still pretty novice. Also long story (and one call to the police) short, this New Years we had a PJ party where Mary and I sewed the guest custom PJ bottoms. That’s just too much fun NOT to post.
What’s your Craft Life List? Best list of 5 crafty to-dos wins a fun mystery crafty prize pack!! Comment by 1/14/11 to enter.

1. One night a week have a craft in hand when when I am watching tv, instead of a glass of wine.
2. Inventory my fabric stash
3. List my UFO’s and finished one a month
4. Find a new home for my bedazzler (I have a bejeweler now – rip bedazzler)
5. Make a new table runner for each season.
I will take a stab at this:
1. Make a list of all gifts planned for the year, and have a start date for all of them, and finish them at least one week prior to gift giving deadline (stop the madness)
2. Knit a home decor piece (I am in a hat and scarf rut)
3. Try some new yarn brands
4. Be more attentive to my ravelry account
5. Teach two people how to knit
Hope I follow thru because I love all these ideas!
Hi Ladies – first of all I recently found your blog and spent hours looking at everything. I can tell you are from a design background because of how great everything looks! Anyway, Mary, I hope you leg is better (I think it is because of your running accessories you are making) and Brandy, well you are just a bundle of fun! I bet you two will be very successful with your new store (see, I did read the whole thing!)
My five craft life list items for 2011:
1) clean out my yarn stash by March 1st, and have a yarn stash trading party with all my knitting friends. (I didn’t say I wanted to make my stash smaller, did i?!!)
2) make 4 items to donate to a charitable organization
3) learn a new craft – I have been thinking about sewing so maybe I will follow you two’s adventures on that one and be inspired
4) come up with my very own knitting creation, and put the pattern on Ravelry – YIKES! – for some reason this seems daunting to me, I am great at following others patterns but get intimidated when I think about modifying them
5) knit a holiday slinky sparkly top that I can wear to my husband’s company party next year
Well, it is in writing now, so I guess I am committed!
Take care,
Kristin
